OCEANIA TABLE TENNIS FEDERATION &
TMS INTERNATIONAL SIGN DEAL

The OTTF, wishes to thank ITTF's Marketing agent, TMS International for it's support and is pleased to
announce a fantastic new opportunity to bring table tennis to the Television in the Oceania country and help professionalise the sport.

During the World Junior Championships in Palo Alto, OTTF’s President Mr. Patrick Gillmann and TMS International’s representative Christian Veronese have signed a contract that will give free rights to allow a Television station in each Oceania Country to broadcast certain table tennis events, including the Pro Tour Events and World Cups. During the EC+ meeting, ITTF’s president Adham Sharara has supported this contract showing he’s willingness to bring Oceania to the same level as the other continents.

The former ITTF Asia Office currently moving to Beijing will be renamed to the ITTF Asia Pacific Office and will also incorporate Oceania activities into its current Asia activities. This proves that the ITTF and TMS are now present in Oceania and Steve Dainton the Director will be pleased to help this continent to increase their own marketing opportunities and professional image.

In order to achieve these goals the OTTF will also try to take a giant leap and will be working hard to raise the profile and professionalism of its own key events - The Oceania Championships, the Oceania Cup and the Oceania Olympic Qualifying tournament. For these events we will also be hoping to produce and televise the events. The first event to be produced by Television will be the Oceania Olympic Qualification Tournament in Noumea, New Caledonia 2008.

This is very exciting news and we believe that getting our sport on TV in this region can raise the profile and help with key areas of marketing, sponsorship and importantly the financial restrictions the top athletes face in the region. All of which is very important for the overall development of table tennis in Oceania.
